Each vase is handmade and finished by hand, making every item one of a kind. Variations in color, texture, and finish are part of its unique character.
To care for your piece, gently clean or polish with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using water, detergents, or abrasive materials.
Over time, the surface may naturally evolve in tone when exposed to air and light. This subtle patina is a natural part of the Raku process and adds to the depth and beauty of the piece. To slow this process, we recommend keeping it out of direct sunlight.
During production, each item is exposed to open flames as part of the traditional Raku firing technique. This may leave a faint, smoky scent when new or freshly unpacked, which will gradually fade.
Raku is an unpredictable and intricate process, resulting in expressive and individual finishes. No two pieces are ever the same, and noticeable variations should be embraced as part of their charm.
