Named after the lively square at the foot of the Butte Montmartre, Abbesses wears its handles like jewellery: two little rings hanging from two loops, all modelled by hand. The neck is glazed in a soft pink that flows into a deep, glossy caramel over the belly.
A small vase with great character – beautiful with a few garden roses, or alone as a sculpture.

About the artist
Virginie Marie Gliozzo spent eighteen years designing ready-to-wear collections for the great Paris fashion houses before trading fabric for clay. After a professional ceramics training in Montreuil, she opened her own studio and boutique in 2024 in Montmartre – her favourite corner of Paris – on rue Francoeur, just behind the Sacré-Cœur. She works in stoneware only, building each piece by hand with coils or on the wheel, glazing it herself and firing it twice – first at 950°C, then at 1250°C. Every piece leaves the studio unique, with the small variations in shape and glaze that mark true handmade work.
