Margaux is a generous, rounded vase built by hand, coil by coil, in Virginie Marie Gliozzo’s Montmartre studio. The glaze is poured over the shoulders and stops halfway, leaving the lower part in bare, sandy white stoneware – a simple two-tone gesture that makes the colour glow.
Its wide oval mouth holds a loose, abundant bunch of flowers, but it is just as beautiful empty on a shelf or a table. Each vase is unique; glaze and shape vary slightly from piece to piece.

About the artist
Virginie Marie Gliozzo spent eighteen years designing ready-to-wear collections for the great Paris fashion houses before trading fabric for clay. After a professional ceramics training in Montreuil, she opened her own studio and boutique in 2024 in Montmartre – her favourite corner of Paris – on rue Francoeur, just behind the Sacré-Cœur. She works in stoneware only, building each piece by hand with coils or on the wheel, glazing it herself and firing it twice – first at 950°C, then at 1250°C. Every piece leaves the studio unique, with the small variations in shape and glaze that mark true handmade work.
