Raku is an ancient firing technique in which the glowing hot pot is taken out of the kiln and smoked, creating unpredictable colours. Cuivré – coppery – shows the result beautifully: a matt metallic surface that flickers from rust red to gold, blue and violet as you walk around it.

Place a few dried stems in it, or let it stand alone on a shelf as a small sculpture. Every vase is fired by hand, so the colours are unique to your piece.
